In 2011 the Australian distributor of HK Audio “CMI Music & Audio Pty Ltd” partnered with us at Pro Sound Productions to become an authorised dealer for HK Audio in Western Australia since then we have adapted the HK product line for our live sound PA Hire department and sales to the WA entertainment industry. We are so impressed by the sonic quality of HK Audio that we rank it among the greatest audio systems in the world. HK Audio themselves are so confident with their creations that they offer a 5 year extended warranty on all their products.

HK Audio, a brief History
HK Audio was originally established as “Stamer Musikanlagen GmbH” by Hans and Lothar Stamer in 1979. In 1987, they moved to a location in St. Wendel and managed their own distribution. In 1988 they developed the Light Line under the brand name of Hughes & Kettner. It was the first light- weight speaker cabinet line they introduced.
1989 saw them deliver their first product line branded with the new official HK AUDIO Logo, the product being the “PS 1 System”. After success in this line they added another new building and expanded manufacturing.
By 1990, HK Audio was extremely well established and selling to over 14 countries worldwide. In 91’ they expanded again with the addition of another hall for manufacturing and warehousing. In 94’, the company split their product lines into different brands. HK AUDIO became solely dedicated to sound reinforcement and Hughes & Kettner for guitar and bass amplification. Again, they expanded and built and acquired new offices and warehouse buildings.
In December 2005, HK Audio was located in a 16,000m² factory space, producing well over 6000 speaker units per month with over 200 employees in 2 locations. Their products are now sold worldwide.
