Active speakers also known as self-power speakers present a solution where you can minimize the amount of equipment needed to power your speaker system. There are many additional benefits to running active speakers including a built in poweramp within the speaker cabinet, with an in-built poweramp there is minimal inference with an amplified signal giving an extrememly low distortion rate also known as (IMD) intermodulation distortion.

Active speakers can also achieve a higher dynamic range and greater output sound pressure level (SPL) with fewer blown or damaged drivers. Our range of active speakers also includes dual wired systems that can run as a passive speaker unit. Due to the additional circuitry these are more expensive than straight active speakers. We also supply active speakers to suit all budget levels.
